The Role
 

We are looking for an AI Development Intern to make concrete contributions to our AI products for the pharmacy sector: intelligent document processing (prescriptions, transfers, claims), medical scribe, and real-time voice agents. In particular, you will have the chance to work on Clarity, winner of the 2026 PLS Awards in the AI and Applications category.

In this role, you will:

​

• Build applied AI products that have a tangible impact on the daily lives of pharmacists and their patients, not just demos, but tools used in the real world.

• Participate in end-to-end AI feature delivery: from prompt to production, including evaluation and cost tracking, supported by a senior developer.

• Learn accountability for what you ship: monitoring, incident tracking, technical debt. You build it, you run it! You break it, you fix it!

• Participate in client and internal meetings, talking directly to pharmacists to convert their feedback into product requirements.

• Thrive in an environment where AI assisted development is not a gimmick, but a daily way of working, and where we build our own tooling along the way.
   

Candidate profile
 

• Current Studies: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.

• Technical Skills: Solid foundations in Python (ideally with some notions of React/TypeScript). Academic, personal, or previous internship projects to show us.

• Strong Interest in Applied AI: Concepts of LLMs, prompt engineering, and structured outputs.

• Eagerness to Learn: RAG, STT, OCR, and tool-augmented agents, with an understanding of which technique fits which task.

• Rigour: A desire to measure the impact of your changes rather than relying on intuition. We will teach you our evaluation methods (benchmarks, versioned datasets, LLM as a judge) and inference cost tracking.

• AI-Assisted Development: You already use (or are eager to learn) Claude Code, Cursor, or equivalents; you know how to properly frame tasks for an agent and critically review its code rather than copy-pasting.

• Curiosity for the Cloud: First exposure to Azure (Azure OpenAI / AI Foundry, Document Intelligence, Container Apps, CI/CD, observability) is a plus. We will train you on the rest.

• Authentication: Basic understanding of OAuth2/OIDC, JWT, and access management (RBAC) is sufficient. You will discover our multi tenant architectures on the job.

• Health Data Security: Awareness of PHI/RPS protection (no sensitive data in logs or prompts, rigorous secrets management). We will train you on Law 25 and PIPEDA. Our environment is ISO 27001 certified.

• Communication: Bilingualism in French and English (products, documentation, and clientele in both languages) and an ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
   

Assets

​

• Experience in the pharmaceutical or digital health sectors (prescriptions, clinical notes, drug databases).

• Experience with real-time voice agents (speech-to-speech) or medical speech-to-text.

• Knowledge of pharmacy management systems or integration with legacy systems.

• Experience with usage-based billing (for example, Azure Marketplace metered billing).

• TGV Certification (MSSS): Exposure to a TGV certified product and knowledge of its requirements (documentation, security controls, traceability) is a major asset.
